Forensics is defined as "pertaining to, connected with, or used in courts of law or public discussion and debate."1. Computer forensics is a branch of forensics that pertains to the forensically sound collection of the data (emails, files, etc.) and the subsequent examination, analysis, and reporting of legal evidence found in computers and digital storage mediums.

At SDC we utilize both forensically sound processes and the industry-leading forensic hardware and software tools to produce results that will accepted in legal proceedings.

Under your legal guidance, we also produce, as needed, supporting declarations and testimony to ensure that your evidence is presented in a professional and convincing manner.

Remember that time is of the essence in retrieving digital evidence as computer reuse and overwrite previously used storage space as time goes on. We can perform a forensically sound "bit stream" snapshot of the digital media to prevent further degradation of the data. Call us as soon as you know you will need to capture data.
